Managing Your Subscription

Access billing settings at Account Settings β†’ Billing. Account admins and owners can manage subscriptions.

Viewing Your Subscription

The billing page shows:

  • Current Plan β€” Your active subscription tier and billing interval
  • Next Invoice β€” When you’ll be charged and how much
  • Payment Method β€” The card or payment method on file
  • Billing History β€” Past invoices and charges

Changing Your Plan

Upgrading

To upgrade to a higher plan:

  1. Go to Account Settings β†’ Billing
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select the new plan (Starter or Founder)
  4. Choose billing interval (monthly or annual)
  5. Confirm the change

Upgrades take effect immediately. You’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period.

Downgrading

To switch to a lower plan:

  1. Go to Account Settings β†’ Billing
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select the new plan
  4. Confirm the change

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You’ll retain access to higher-tier features until then.

Switching Billing Interval

To switch between monthly and annual billing:

  1. Go to Account Settings β†’ Billing
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select your current plan tier with the new interval

Switching to annual saves money compared to monthly billing.

Updating Payment Method

To update your card or payment method:

  1. Go to Account Settings β†’ Billing
  2. Click Update Payment Method
  3. Enter new card details
  4. Save changes

Your new payment method will be used for future charges.

Billing Information

Extra Billing Info

Add additional information to appear on invoices (VAT number, PO number, company address):

  1. Go to Account Settings β†’ Billing
  2. Enter details in the Extra Billing Info field
  3. Save changes

Billing Email

By default, invoices go to account owners. To send invoices to a different email:

  1. Go to Account Settings β†’ Billing
  2. Enter an address in Billing Email
  3. Save changes

Viewing Invoices

Past invoices are available in your billing history. Click any invoice to view or download a PDF.

Canceling Your Subscription

To cancel:

  1. Go to Account Settings β†’ Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation

After canceling:

  • Access continues until the end of your paid period
  • Your data is preserved for 30 days after expiration
  • Reactivate anytime by selecting a new plan

Pausing Your Subscription

Need to take a break? You can pause billing instead of canceling:

  1. Go to Account Settings β†’ Billing
  2. Click Pause Subscription
  3. Select pause duration
  4. Confirm

While paused:

  • You won’t be charged
  • Access is limited to read-only
  • Resume anytime to restore full access

Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

  1. You’ll receive an email notification
  2. Update your payment method within 7 days
  3. We’ll retry the charge automatically

After multiple failed attempts, your subscription may be marked past due. Update your payment method to restore access.

Subscription Status

Your subscription can be in one of these states:

  • Active β€” Subscription is current and paid
  • Trialing β€” In free trial period
  • Past Due β€” Payment failed, awaiting retry
  • Unpaid β€” Multiple payment failures
  • Paused β€” Temporarily suspended by you
  • Canceled β€” Subscription ended
